Team Tenacity is an NYC-based adult synchronized skating team made up of skaters who have competed on different synchro teams from all over the country. It is an amazing group of intelligent women who are all working professionals and/or students passionate to continue their life-long love of skating.
This team was originally formed in 2013 by skaters who grew up and skated for Sylvia Muccio, the founder of Team Image, who lost her battle with breast cancer. She instilled a passion for skating and a passion for fun which are pillars of the adult team. In 2021 the team rebranded to become Team Tenacity.
The definition of Tenacity is "persistence, perseverance, and determination -- the quality displayed by someone who keeps trying until they reach their goal." As adult skaters, team members take enormous pride in the name's meaning and what it stands for.
